Receive a large, fully maintained home battery on a monthly subscription. This allows excess energy generated by rooftop solar to be stored and used when needed, reducing your electricity costs and carbon footprint.

How it works

Subscribe to our Solar Maximiser Service and one of our trusted partners will install a high-quality Q-Cells 13.7 kWh home battery for no upfront cost.

Our installer will visit your home and decide the best location for the battery – they can also help with the install of your solar system.

A home battery will allow you to use the excess solar you generate during the day and power your home in the evenings, saving you money on your electricity bill.

A typical household will save around $1,000 a year on their utility bill, while also reducing your carbon footprint – a 13.7kWh battery will typically allow a household to run on over 90% renewable energy.

* Normal price of $125.00 per month for non Rivermark households. Residents must have at least 6.3kW of rooftop solar panels installed at their Rivermark home to opt into the Solar Maximiser Service. All pricing is inclusive of GST. Service fee commences from the date of installation of the battery.   • What do I get as a subscriber to the Solar Maximiser Service?

    You’ll get the ability to store energy in a 13.7kWh battery installed in your home.

    The battery will be fully maintained and serviced by us and our partners.

    The battery that will be installed is a German-engineered 13.7kWh Q.HOME Core H5 battery from Q CELLS, a major global manufacturer of solar panels and battery units.

    Our installation partners will install and commission the battery in your home, arranging for all necessary approvals with Western Power and Synergy.

  • Who is Enpowered?

    Enpowered is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hesperia.

    Enpowered develops projects and services to help WA through the energy transition and make renewable energy achievable for everyone.

  • How much money will I save on my electricity bill?

    Compared to only having solar, the home battery would save the typical 4x2 household about $950 to $1050 a year on their power bill (excluding the subscription cost).

    The savings will vary based on your usage and the size of your solar system.

  • How does a battery reduce my carbon emissions?

    A 13.7kWh battery and suitable solar system enables the typical household to meet over 90% of their total energy requirements from solar and reduce carbon emissions by 4-5 tons each year.

  • How much is the subscription fee?

    The subscription fee is $125 per month for regular customers, and $62.50 per month for Rivermark residents.

    Rivermark residents receive a discount because they are being subsidised by the estate developer.

  • What is the upfront cost?

    There is no upfront cost for customers of the Solar Maximiser Service.

    The cost to install a comparable battery can vary between $12,000 to $15,000

  • How long is the contract?

    The Solar Maximiser Service is a no lock in contract, but you will need to pay a removal fee to cover the cost of having the battery removed from your premises (advised on application), if you decide to cancel your subscription.

    The removal fee will be waived for Rivermark residents who did not realise a net saving.

  • How big is the battery?

    The battery has 13.7 kWh of energy storage, this capacity has been specifically chosen to maximise the amount of renewable electricity being used in a typical 4x2 home and achieve the best savings.

    The battery consists of three cell packs, which together measures 1.4m wide x 70cm high x 24cm deep.

    Our installers will conduct a home visit to choose the best location for your home battery, this will usually be in or near the garage.

  • What size solar do I need?

    You must have at least 6.3kW of roof top solar to join the Solar Maximiser Service.

    If you don’t have any solar already installed, our installation partners will be able to help you choose a suitable solar system.

    Please contact our team if you have less than 6.3kW of solar currently installed, as you may still be eligible.

  • Are batteries safe to use in my home?

    The Q.HOME battery has been designed to meet the highest safety standards and the solution uses the latest in battery technology.

    Q CELLS batteries use Samsung SDI Lithium-Ion battery cells which have been distributed and operating successfully in over 50 countries since 2010.

    This is the same battery technology that has been used in the world’s biggest commercial solar power storage facility, the Hornsdale Power Reserve in South Australia.
